
IELTS
IELTS, International English Language Testing System tests English proficiency level of candidates across the globe. IELTS tests are held in over 800 centers with tests up to four times a month. IELTS tests all four-language skills – Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking. IELTS is available in two test formats: Academic or General Training. All candidates take the same Listening and Speaking modules but Reading and Writing modules are different in the General Training Module. The Academic Module is designed for those students who want to pursue their higher education in an English-speaking College or university whereas General Training Module is required for those who want to go to English-speaking country for seeking jobs or having a permanent resident. According to the candidate’s performance in the test, their English Level is assigned in between 0 to 9. Therefore, nine is the highest Band Score of IELTS.
Scores
IELTS scores are rated along a band scale (0 – 9). Normally, the cut-off band scores 6 (competent user) and 7 (good user) are accepted for the entry into most of the educational institutions in UK, Australia, USA, and other English speaking countries.
IELTS Preparation at NMARK
Duration:
– 6 weeks of classes
– An hour of instruction daily from Monday to Friday.
– Saturday is a holiday
– Sunday is for full-length testing.
